The path from grain to bread is an immersive activity that allows participants to discover the long journey from the ear of wheat to the loaf of bread. During this experience at Agriturismo Modi, it will be explained how flour is obtained and how, starting from it, bread is made with natural leavening. Participants will have the opportunity to form their own loaf, watch the preparation and lighting of the wood-fired oven, and finally see the bread they have prepared baked, taking home the fruits of their labour.
This activity is by reservation only, as it requires meticulous preparation. The process begins the day before with the preparation of the yeast, which will be used for bread-making. Early in the morning, the flour and yeast are mixed to allow for an initial rising, before the activity begins. During the workshop, the participants will be supervised by at least three operators who will guide them through each step, while one operator will take care of the oven to prepare it for baking and baking.
Depending on the age of the participants, the process from ear to bread will be explained. If the group exceeds 15 people, the participants will be divided into groups, and each group will work in turn, while the others will be managed by accompanying persons. All participants will be distributed around the work table, where they will receive a piece of bread dough and try their hand at creating their own loaf.
